Your videos never leave your phone.
Effective July 6, 2026. Unflinch is built so that we could not read your data even if we wanted to. This page says exactly what exists and where.
What we store, and where
Your recordings are saved only on your device, in Unflinch's private storage. They are never uploaded, never transmitted, and never accessible to us. Deleting a recording deletes it permanently. Deleting the app deletes everything.
Your journal, streak, settings, and profile live on your device in the same private storage.
Screen Time selections: when you choose apps to lock, Apple's Family Controls hands us opaque tokens — we cannot see which apps you picked, and Apple designed it that way. Tokens stay on the device. We receive no Screen Time or app-usage data, ever.
What we collect
Nothing. Unflinch has no accounts, no analytics SDK, no advertising SDK, no third-party trackers, and no server that receives user data.
Payments
Subscriptions are processed entirely by Apple through your App Store account. We never see your payment details. Apple shares only anonymous, aggregate sales reporting with us. Manage or cancel in Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions.
Permissions we ask for
Camera & microphone — to record your reps, on device only. Notifications — your daily prompts. Screen Time (Family Controls) — to lock the apps you chose until you record. Each is optional at the OS level, though the core mechanic needs them.
Children
Unflinch is not directed at children under 13 and collects no data from anyone, including children.
